ACME CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS

President Niccollai reported today that the Local Union is gearing up to commence contract negotiations with the ACME Markets company.  We project that the Union Delegates will be in the stores over the next several weeks to collect contract demands and to receive resumes from members seeking to serve as part of the contract committee.

The deadline for the submission of demands and resumes is Friday, December 19, 2025.  We have projected approximately six (6) negotiating sessions with the company on dates yet to be determined with the company.  The contract expires on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

As with all contract negotiations, the full support of the membership is essential for success.  Our employers must understand that we are unshakeable in our desire to attain a contract that reflects our needs of today and our needs into the future.  We will be discussing the areas of wages, healthcare, pensions and working conditions.

For those seeking to serve on the contract negotiating committee, it should be remembered that the meeting dates are the scheduled day off of the committee members. If more than one meeting day is scheduled for negotiations in any week, the committee will be paid for any lost wages.
