RESULTS OF CONTRACT RATIFICATION VOTE

President Niccollai reported late this afternoon that the votes taken among the Stop & Shop and ShopRite members were individually counted by a member of our Elected Contract Committee from each Company, along with the Union Contract Committee Members.

We are most pleased to report the results as follows:

STOP & SHOP

Total Votes:   740

Voided Votes:   6

Yes Votes:     733

No Votes:          1

SHOPRITE

Total Votes:   1,852

Voided Votes:     6

Yes Votes:    1,832

No Votes:          14

It is quite evident that both contracts were overwhelmingly approved by the membership.  These agreements were among the best ever negotiated, and they will serve as a basis to take care of our needs into the future.
