TO ALL ACME MEMBERS FROM PRESIDENT JOHN T. NICCOLLAI
FEBRUARY 24, 2017
As we all know today was the deadline to reach the threshold of separating 49 people from the Company under the Voluntary Layoff Program with Separation Pay. We failed to meet the threshold of 49 workers and that program is now terminated. I am pleased to announce that the Company has notified the Union that the reduction/layoff of 73 Full-time people will be placed on hold.
The Company has indicated that these people will retain their Full-time Status, but there will be work re-assignments commensurate with the current needs of the Company. We expect that within the very near future the Company will inform us as to the nature of the work re-assignments.
In the interim, we are certainly pleased that the 73 Brothers and Sisters earmarked for the layoff/reduction are no longer subject to a layoff/reduction of hours.
We will continue to keep our ACME Brothers and Sisters informed and we wish to thank everyone for their input in helping to bring this problem to a positive solution.
