ACME Contract Negotiations Update - 11/30/16

ACME CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE
FROM PRESIDENT JOHN T. NICCOLLAI
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2016

Your Union Officers and Contract Negotiating Committee Members met with ACME today in both a morning and afternoon session.  The Company presented another proposal, which was so far from addressing our needs that it would be a waste of your time to recite it herein.  The Company continues to demand more flexibility in scheduling, is adamant about member co-pay for Health Care and is projecting meager wage increases.

The negotiations broke off in a less than amicable way, and the Union indicated that the Company should notify the Union when they are serious about concluding a new contract agreement.  As you know, the contract expires on Saturday, December 3rd at midnight.  If we do not conclude a new contract by that deadline, in all candor, we will be on strike.  We ask all members to hope for the best but be totally prepared for the worst.

We will continue to give updates as events develop through this website, the Negotiating Committee and your Union Representatives.  Again, please let the Company know that we have suffered too long and we will strike before we accept less than we truly deserve.
